ProTakip’s team has built software for carpet-cleaning businesses for 22 years. We started before smartphones existed, putting carpet-cleaning software on bank POS terminals so crews could take an order and print a receipt for the customer at the door. Today the same team ships one app for Android, iPhone and the web: a carpet and upholstery cleaning program that is also used by dry cleaners and home and office cleaning companies. This Launch27 (now Automaid) vs ProTakip comparison is written from that experience. ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software: order, customer and payment tracking for carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning businesses, also used by dry cleaners and home and office cleaning teams.
Launch27, rebranded as Automaid in May 2026 under the Fullsteam group, is US booking and scheduling software for house cleaning companies, sold in three monthly tiers (BASE $75, PRO $150, PLUS $299) with unlimited users.
The decisive difference: on Launch27, SMS reminders start on PRO and the mobile app for your cleaners is listed only on PLUS, so a team that works from phones pays $299 a month; on ProTakip, one flat fee of $20 a month includes every feature for unlimited users, with no contract and the first three months free.
Everything below is as of September 2026: Launch27 (now Automaid) pricing comes from its own website, ratings and reviews come from the Google Play and App Store listings of its staff apps, and ProTakip facts come from the product itself. The name changed recently, so you will see both names in app stores and on invoices; this article uses “Launch27 (now Automaid)” throughout. If you run a residential cleaning company, the home cleaning software overview puts both in a wider context.

What Launch27 (now Automaid) offers
Launch27 (now Automaid) is a web back office with a booking form that can be embedded on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or Facebook, plus separate staff apps for Android and iPhone. According to its website (September 2026), the plans bundle customer and cleaner databases, email reminders, a payroll manager, gift cards, a referral engine and review requests, with QuickBooks and Google Calendar integration from PRO and card pre-authorisation and automatic charging on PLUS. It is priced in three monthly tiers with unlimited users, and features unlock tier by tier.
What Launch27 (now Automaid) really costs in 2026
Prices as published in September 2026 on Launch27’s website, converted into what actually leaves your bank account each year:
- BASE – $75 per month: $900 a year on monthly billing, or $765 paid up front. Unlimited users and bookings, customer and cleaner databases, a Launch27-branded booking form, email templates and reminders, payroll manager. No SMS reminders and no mobile app access for your team.
- PRO – $150 per month: $1,800 a year on monthly billing, or $1,530 paid up front. Unbranded booking form, automated SMS reminders to clients and daily schedules to teams by SMS, Google Calendar and QuickBooks integration, gift cards, client feedback and review requests. Mobile app access is still not listed.
- PLUS – $299 per month: $3,588 a year on monthly billing, or $3,049.80 paid up front. Mobile app access for cleaners, admins and staff, automatic card pre-authorisation and charging, multi-location with location-based pricing, referral engine, English/Spanish app.
There is no free plan; the website offers a 14-day trial. Every tier includes unlimited users, so the cost is not in seats — it is in the ladder. Text-message reminders are not in BASE, so SMS starts at $1,800 a year. Mobile app access for your cleaners is listed only under PLUS, so the full field workflow on phones costs $3,588 a year. Card processing fees, contract terms and cancellation terms are not published on the pricing page and are not verified here.
Worked example. An owner with four field staff who need the app on their phones and want customers reminded by SMS lands on PLUS: $3,588 a year on monthly billing, or $3,049.80 paid up front on the legacy page's 15% annual option. On ProTakip, the same five people pay one flat monthly fee. SMS, WhatsApp, the full app on every phone, QR labels, route optimisation and reports are all included, anyone can be added without a price change, you can cancel any month, and the first three months cost nothing. See current pricing on the ProTakip download page.
ProTakip is $20 a month — $240 a year — for unlimited users and every feature, with no contract. Start your free three months from the ProTakip download page, no card needed.

What Launch27 (now Automaid) users complain about is mostly the staff app
Launch27 (now Automaid) reviews on the app stores focus on the staff side. The Android staff app has 10K+ installs and a 3.9 average from 51 reviews; the Automaid Teams app for iPhone sits at 2.8 from 25 ratings (both September 2026). In a sample of recent written reviews, 10 of 17 Android reviews and 6 of 9 iOS reviews were one star. Crashes and bugs were the most common theme by far.
“Uploading photos is totally broken, there’s no link to Google Maps for the client’s address.” — Google Play review
“Not being able to clock out of a cleaning with the entire app freezing when I try.” — App Store review
Other reviewers report that an update stopped them clocking in or out, that the app repeatedly sends “running late” comments, that they could not install it on an iPhone, and that release notes do not explain what changed. One iOS reviewer called the missing checklist the sign of a stalled product:
“No checklist for years now on app! No development of software in years.” — App Store review, November 2025
In our sample, none of the Google Play reviews had a developer reply. The staff app is where the day happens: clocking in, photos, directions. If your cleaners fight the app, the office ends up doing the work by phone.
Why carpet cleaners choose ProTakip
Twenty-two years, carpet only. ProTakip is not a general booking tool with a carpet page added for marketing. It began on bank POS terminals printing receipts at customers’ doors and is now in its third generation. Every screen follows the carpet job: an order is received, picked up with photos of the item’s condition, moved to washing, marked ready and sent out for delivery. Prices can be per square metre or per item, with price lists, extra services and quotes. The carpet cleaning software page shows this pipeline in detail.
The same full app for everyone. ProTakip is one app on Android, iPhone and the web, built from one codebase and released on the same day on every platform. There is no separate “teams” app with fewer features: the owner, the office and the drivers all see the same orders. ProTakip is rated 5.0 on Google Play (37 reviews) and 4.98 on the App Store (46 ratings) as of September 2026. Every written review in both stores is five stars, and the developer replies to about 96% of Play reviews.
Built for the phone call and the doorstep. Most small cleaning businesses still get their work by phone. ProTakip’s Caller ID on Android shows the caller’s name, balance and open orders before you answer, even with no signal; in the office it works through a switchboard or USB caller-ID device. At the door, QR-coded labels and receipts print from the phone to a Bluetooth thermal printer, so rugs never get mixed up and the customer leaves with a receipt.
- Automatic SMS and WhatsApp at every order stage, including for international customers, with a tracking link so customers stop calling to ask “is it ready?”. The notifications guide explains the setup.
- Photos at pickup that end damage disputes before they start.
- Automatic delivery route optimisation with map navigation and vehicle GPS tracking.
- Unlimited users on one flat fee, every feature included, no annual contract, and your data stays yours.
- Free migration of your customers and job history, done by our team.
- Live human support inside the app, backed by an AI assistant and remote screen-share.
Start free for three months, no card required, and run your next week of pickups and deliveries on it.
Head-to-head: the five differences that decide it
ProTakip comes out ahead on each of the five points below for a small carpet-cleaning business; each one ends with what it means for your crew.
One app for the whole team beats a separate staff app
With Launch27, the office works in a web back office and the cleaners use a separate staff app, rated 2.8 on iPhone and 3.9 on Android in September 2026, with reviewers reporting freezes when clocking in or out and broken photo uploads. ProTakip gives the field team the same app the owner uses, on Android, iPhone and web, updated on the same day, rated 5.0 and 4.98. When a driver can close a job and attach a photo without a fight, the owner stops fixing records at night.
Every feature on one fee beats a tier ladder
On Launch27, SMS reminders need PRO ($1,800 a year) and mobile app access for staff is listed on PLUS ($3,588 a year). On ProTakip there is nothing to unlock: SMS, WhatsApp, the full mobile app, labels, routes and reports come with the one flat monthly fee, for unlimited users, with no contract. You pay the same whether you grow from three people to fifteen.
A carpet plant needs a carpet workflow
Launch27 models a job as a visit to a customer’s home at a booked time. Carpet and rug cleaning works differently: items are collected, measured, washed in a plant, dried and returned, sometimes days later. ProTakip tracks each order through those stages, prices by square metre, prints QR labels so rugs do not get mixed up, and optimises pickup and delivery routes. Launch27’s published plans do not show carpet-plant tools; ProTakip was built on them.
Phone calls and WhatsApp are covered from day one
Launch27 sends email reminders on every plan and SMS reminders from PRO; WhatsApp and Caller ID are not listed. ProTakip identifies callers on Android with their balance and open orders, even offline, and sends SMS and WhatsApp updates automatically at every stage. For a two- or three-person business where the owner answers the phone while driving, knowing who is calling on Android before picking up saves time and avoids missed orders.
Support you can reach and a switch done for you
In our sample of Launch27’s Google Play reviews, none had a developer reply; its pricing page lists chat and email support only, no phone. ProTakip’s developer replies to about 96% of Play reviews, support inside the app is answered by people, and our team imports your customers and job history for free. You get help moving in and help once you are running.
Why ProTakip is the best Launch27 (now Automaid) alternative for a small carpet-cleaning business
ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software for one-to-fifteen-person teams; this is why it is the best Launch27 (now Automaid) alternative for that business.
If you run a carpet, rug, upholstery or dry-cleaning business with pickup and delivery, or a home and office cleaning team that takes work by phone and WhatsApp, we built ProTakip for you. You get one app your whole team can rely on, on Android and iPhone alike, rated 5.0 and 4.98. You get Caller ID on Android, automatic SMS and WhatsApp updates, photos at pickup, QR labels and Bluetooth receipts at the door, and routes planned for you. You get it all on one flat monthly fee with unlimited users, no contract and three months free.
Where your customers pay on delivery, ProTakip records the payment in the cash register and receivables, and the payment collection guide shows how small teams keep that tight. Outside the US, where WhatsApp is often how customers communicate, ProTakip fits from the first day and is available in 26 languages. Owners comparing other maid-focused tools can read ZenMaid vs ProTakip, BookingKoala vs ProTakip, MaidCentral vs ProTakip and Maidily vs ProTakip, or see all comparisons; the software buying checklist helps you score them.
A note from the founder. We built ProTakip for carpet-cleaning owners tired of paying for every new hire and fighting menus made for other trades. No sales pitch: use it free for three months with your whole team, no card needed. If it works for you, it is $20 a month. If it doesn't, you leave, and your data is yours.
Start free for three months, no card required: download ProTakip and run your next week of orders on it — the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, unlimited users, no contract.
Switching from Launch27 (now Automaid) to ProTakip can run side by side
You do not have to retype anything. Export your customer list and job history from Launch27, and the ProTakip team imports it for you, free of charge. Because the first three months are free and there is no contract, you can run both systems side by side for two weeks: your team handles orders, pickups and deliveries in ProTakip while the old system stays live, and once you are confident, you cancel Launch27. The switching and data migration guide lists what to export and how to plan the changeover week.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Launch27 (now Automaid) cost compared with ProTakip?
According to Launch27's website (September 2026), BASE is $75 per month, PRO $150 and PLUS $299, all with unlimited users and a 14-day trial; the legacy launch27.com pricing page also lists a 15% discount for annual billing, while the automaidsoftware.com page shows monthly prices only. That is $900, $1,800 or $3,588 a year on monthly billing. SMS reminders start on PRO; the staff mobile app and automatic card charging are listed on PLUS, so a team that works from phones pays $3,588 a year, or $3,049.80 up front. ProTakip is one flat subscription of $20 a month ($240 a year) with unlimited users and every feature included, no contract, and the first three months free.
Is Launch27 (now Automaid) or ProTakip better for carpet and rug cleaning?
ProTakip. First, it comes from 22 years of building software for carpet-cleaning businesses: an order pipeline from pickup through washing, ready and delivery, price per square metre or per item, photos at pickup, and QR-coded labels and receipts printed on a Bluetooth printer at the door. Second, your whole team gets the same full app on Android, iPhone and web for one flat fee, with SMS, WhatsApp and delivery route optimisation included rather than unlocked tier by tier.
Does ProTakip have an online booking form or card payments like Launch27?
ProTakip does not include a customer self-booking website or card processing. It is built for the way most carpet and cleaning jobs actually arrive: by phone and WhatsApp. Caller ID on Android shows the caller's name, balance and open orders before you answer, automatic SMS and WhatsApp messages keep customers updated at every stage, and payments collected on delivery go straight into the cash register and receivables. If you need a QuickBooks, Xero, Square, Stripe or other sync, tell us in the in-app chat: we build the connection for your account, and the first three months are free while we do.
What do Launch27 (now Automaid) reviews say about the staff app?
As of September 2026 the Automaid Teams app is rated 2.8 on the App Store (25 ratings) and the Android staff app 3.9 on Google Play (51 reviews). Reviewers mostly report crashes, freezing when clocking in or out, and photo uploads failing. ProTakip gives the field team the same app the owner uses, rated 5.0 on Google Play and 4.98 on the App Store.
Can I move my Launch27 data to ProTakip?
Yes. Export your customer list and job history from Launch27, send it over, and the ProTakip team imports it for you at no charge. Because the first three months of ProTakip are free and there is no contract, you can run both systems side by side for two weeks, check that everything came across, and only then cancel your Launch27 plan.
