Vonigo vs ProTakip: Why Small Carpet Cleaners Choose a Flat-Fee App

Built by a team with 22 years in carpet-cleaning software: what Vonigo really costs per user, what its app reviewers report, and why small carpet and cleaning teams choose ProTakip. As of September 2026. ProTakip: $20 a month, unlimited users, first three months free.

ProTakip’s team has built software for carpet-cleaning businesses for 22 years. Before smartphones existed, we put carpet-cleaning software on bank POS terminals so crews could take an order and print a receipt for the customer at the door. Today the same team ships one app for Android, iPhone and the web, and this Vonigo vs ProTakip comparison is written from that experience of how a carpet business actually runs. ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software: order, customer and payment tracking for carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning businesses, also used by dry cleaners and home and office cleaning teams.

Vonigo is Canadian field-service software for franchise and multi-location brands in cleaning, junk removal and moving, sold after a demo and priced per user per month.

The decisive difference is simple: Vonigo charges for every login, reported at $98 to $139 per user per month, and its apps are rated 1.9 and 1.71; ProTakip is one flat fee of $20 a month with unlimited users, no contract and the first three months free, with apps rated 5.0 and 4.98 (September 2026).

Everything below is as of September 2026. Vonigo pricing is the per-user pricing reported for its plans; Vonigo reviews come from recent Google Play and App Store review samples; ProTakip facts come from the product itself. If you are still building a shortlist, the home cleaning software overview and the carpet cleaning software page give the wider picture.

What Vonigo offers

Vonigo is designed for a service brand with many locations or franchisees, where each location runs its own schedule and head office needs one view of the network. Royalty reporting is its headline feature: a franchisor can calculate what each franchisee owes from job data rather than from spreadsheets sent in at month end.

Its other main feature is online booking, which lets customers book a job themselves. That is aimed at residential cleaning, junk removal and moving, where many enquiries arrive in the evening. ProTakip does not offer a customer self-booking website.

What Vonigo really costs in 2026

Vonigo's last published prices (from its own pricing page, 2020 to March 2024; that page now redirects to the home page), converted to what leaves your bank account each year:

You cannot see these prices on Vonigo’s site any more: as of September 2026 the pricing page redirects to the home page and every path leads to “Get a demo”, so treat the figures above as a guide and get a written quote. There is no free plan and no self-serve trial. Vonigo’s Master Services Agreement (updated June 2026) sets a twelve-month initial term that renews automatically for further twelve-month terms unless you give written notice at least ninety days before the end; setup fees and SMS or payment charges are not published, so ask about each of them in the demo.

Because every login is a seat, every person you add is a cost. Each seasonal helper or driver who only needs to see a pickup list adds another $98 to $139 a month, or $1,176 to $1,668 a year.

Worked example: an owner with four field staff. Five users on Starter come to about $490 a month, or $5,880 a year. On Professional it is $595 a month, $7,140 a year. On Premium it is $695 a month, $8,340 a year — before any extras you agree in the demo. For a way to set these costs against what your jobs actually earn, see the carpet cleaning pricing guide.

On ProTakip that same five-person team, or a ten-person team, pays one flat fee of $20 a month ($240 a year) with unlimited users and every feature included. There is no annual contract and no setup fee, you can cancel any month, and the first three months cost nothing, with no credit card required. Current pricing is on the download page.

What Vonigo users complain about in app store reviews

Vonigo’s mobile ratings are 1.9 on Google Play from 69 reviews and 1.71 on the App Store from 56 ratings, as of September 2026. In a sample of 42 recent Google Play reviews, 34 were one star; in a sample of 24 App Store reviews, 17 were. Crashes and bugs were the most common theme, followed by slowness and missing features.

Reviewers describe the app not opening, getting stuck on a blank screen after reinstalling, logging them out and freezing on older phones. Several say photo upload fails, which matters when a technician needs a before-and-after record to close a work order.

Currently can’t upload pictures at all which is a necessity for my job, so work orders cannot be completed. — Google Play review
App still will not launch. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3x and changed my password. I still get a blank screen. — Google Play review
Slow, unreliable, crashes way too often. — App Store review

Other reviewers say the app mostly opens the website, that information is buried “in a file within a file”, and that support was slow to respond. One reviewer who bought an existing business wrote that he felt stuck with the software because the company already ran everything on it. The developer replied to about 45% of the sampled Google Play reviews.

Why carpet cleaners choose ProTakip

Twenty-two years in carpet cleaning, not a general tool with a carpet page. We started on bank POS terminals, printing receipts at the customer’s door before smartphones existed. Today’s app is the third generation of that work. The workflow follows the rug, not a generic calendar: received, in wash, ready, out for delivery and delivered, with pickup and delivery lists for drivers and an all-operations board for the owner. You price per square metre or per item from your own price list, and quotes, recurring jobs and an appointments calendar are included.

The same full app on Android, iPhone and the web. One codebase, same version on the same day, no cut-down “field” app next to a full office system. Your drivers can carry whatever phone they own. The store ratings as of September 2026 are 5.0 on Google Play from 37 reviews and 4.98 on the App Store from 46 ratings; all 42 written reviews across both stores are five stars, and we reply to about 96% of Play reviews.

Unlimited users on one flat fee, no annual contract, and your data is yours. Put every driver, washer and office helper on the system without counting seats. If you run more than one trading name, several brands can sit under one company.

We move you over and we answer. Our team migrates your customers and orders free of charge, and support inside the app is a live person, backed by an AI assistant and remote screen sharing. The app is available in 26 languages.

Head-to-head: the five differences that decide it

ProTakip comes out ahead on each of the five points below for a small carpet-cleaning business; each one ends with what it means for your crew.

Per-user pricing adds up fast on a small crew

Vonigo is reported at $98 to $139 per user per month, so cost rises with every person you add, including part-timers who only need to see their pickup list. For a four- or six-person carpet cleaner, that can become the biggest software bill in the business and a reason to keep drivers off the system. ProTakip charges one flat monthly price for unlimited users, so adding a seasonal helper costs nothing and everyone works from the same live data.

The mobile app is where the ratings split

Vonigo is rated 1.9 on Google Play and 1.71 on the App Store; ProTakip is rated 5.0 and 4.98 (September 2026). For a team on the road this is not cosmetic: if the app will not open, drops photos or logs drivers out, jobs stall and someone phones the office. ProTakip runs the same full app on Android, iPhone and web; Caller ID on Android works fully offline, and new orders taken without signal sync when the connection returns.

Getting started: a demo versus three free months

Vonigo starts with a demo and a quote, its pricing page no longer exists, and its service agreement sets a twelve-month term that renews automatically. A small owner usually wants to try software on real jobs first. ProTakip gives you three months free without a credit card, then no annual contract and no setup fee, so you find out whether it fits before paying anything.

Customer notifications and the phone on the counter

Vonigo’s website describes automated SMS reminders and follow-ups; WhatsApp updates are not listed. In ProTakip, SMS and WhatsApp messages go out automatically at each order stage with a tracking link, and Caller ID on Android shows who is calling and what they have on order. The result is fewer “is my rug ready?” calls, and whoever answers already knows the customer.

A franchise network or a carpet workflow

Vonigo is built around territories, franchisees and royalties, across cleaning, junk removal and moving. ProTakip is built around the carpet and upholstery job itself: pickup, wash, ready and delivery, square-metre pricing, pickup photos, item labels and Bluetooth printing. For an independent operator, ProTakip matches how the work actually moves through the workshop and the van.

Why ProTakip is the best Vonigo alternative for a small carpet-cleaning business

ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software, and this is why it is the best Vonigo alternative for a small cleaning business. Pick ProTakip if you run an independent carpet, rug or upholstery cleaning business, a dry cleaner or a home and office cleaning company with one to fifteen people, and you run it from the phone. We built the app for exactly that day: collecting rugs, photographing them, labelling every piece, washing, calling the customer and delivering on an optimised route.

It is the better buy when you want every person on the system without paying per seat, when your staff use a mix of Android phones and iPhones and need the same app on both, and when Caller ID on Android, automatic SMS and WhatsApp updates, pickup photos and printed labels are part of your daily routine. You also skip the sales call: install it, use it on real jobs for three months, and decide.

If you are comparing other field-service tools, see the Service Autopilot comparison and the Jobber comparison. For maid-service tools, the ZenMaid comparison and the Launch27 and AutoMaid comparison cover those, and the guide to choosing carpet cleaning software gives a checklist to take into any demo. You can also see all comparisons.

A note from the founder. We built ProTakip for carpet-cleaning owners tired of paying for every new hire and fighting menus made for other trades. No sales pitch: use it free for three months with your whole team, no card needed. If it works for you, it is $20 a month. If it doesn't, you leave, and your data is yours.

Start free for three months, no card required: download ProTakip and run your next week of orders on it — the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, unlimited users, no contract.

Switching from Vonigo to ProTakip without losing customer history

Switching is handled for you. Export whatever your Vonigo plan allows and send it to us; our team imports your customer lists and job history free of charge, so your office does not retype anything. Then run both systems side by side for two weeks: check the imported records, let your drivers get used to the app, and print a few labels and receipts. Once the team is comfortable, cancel Vonigo. Because the first three months of ProTakip are free, the overlap costs you nothing on our side. The switching and data migration guide lists what to check before cancelling.

Is Vonigo or ProTakip better for carpet and rug cleaning?

For a small carpet or rug cleaning business, ProTakip, for two reasons. First, it was built for that trade over 22 years: a pipeline from pickup to wash, ready and delivery, pricing per square metre or per item, pickup photos, QR-coded labels and Bluetooth receipts at the door. Second, the whole crew is on one flat fee with no per-user charge, where Vonigo bills every login. Vonigo targets franchise and multi-location service brands, and carpet-specific tools of this kind are not verified in its published material.

What are Vonigo reviews like on the app stores?

Can I move my Vonigo data to ProTakip?

Yes. The ProTakip team handles the migration of your customer lists and orders at no charge. Export what your Vonigo plan allows, send it over, and run both systems side by side during ProTakip's three free months. Cancel Vonigo only once your team is working comfortably in ProTakip and you have checked the imported records.

Does ProTakip offer franchise royalty reporting or online booking like Vonigo?

ProTakip has no royalty reporting, no multi-branch accounting and no customer self-booking website. It supports several brand names under one company, with shared reports, cash register and receivables. ProTakip is not built for franchise networks that need royalty reports across territories; this comparison is written for independent carpet and cleaning businesses, which get the full app for the whole team on one flat fee. If your business needs it, tell us in the in-app chat: ProTakip is built around what its customers ask for, and the first three months are free while you find out.

Vonigo is a trademark of its respective owner. ProTakip is not affiliated with or endorsed by Vonigo. Competitor pricing and ratings are as published on the vendor’s website or app stores on 27 September 2026 and may change.
