ProTakip's team has been building software for carpet-cleaning businesses for 22 years. We started before smartphones existed, putting order software on bank POS terminals so crews could take an order and print a receipt for the customer at the door. Today the same team ships one app that runs on Android, iPhone and the web, and this QuoteIQ vs ProTakip comparison explains why that history matters to a small carpet, rug or upholstery cleaning business. ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software: order, customer and payment tracking for carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning businesses, also used by dry cleaners and home and office cleaning teams.
QuoteIQ is a US contractor CRM built around estimates, instant online quotes and booking for on-site cleaning trades such as pressure washing and window cleaning, sold in monthly tiers where each tier includes a fixed number of users.
The decisive difference: on QuoteIQ your bill climbs a tier every time your crew grows, while ProTakip charges one flat fee of $20 a month for unlimited users, with no contract and the first three months free. All prices, ratings and review excerpts below are as of September 2026.

QuoteIQ vs ProTakip at a glance
For a small carpet-cleaning team, ProTakip is the better buy: one flat fee of $20 a month for unlimited users, the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, and a pickup-to-delivery workflow built for rugs. The table shows where QuoteIQ differs, with every figure dated September 2026.

What QuoteIQ offers
According to QuoteIQ's website (September 2026), the product centres on the front end of the sale: customers quote themselves online and book a slot, you measure a property from satellite imagery, and an AI estimator drafts the price. Automated review requests follow each job, and the higher tiers add mass campaigns, pipelines and a website builder.
Those tools assume the job is sold and done at the customer's property: a driveway, a set of windows, a roof. On Google Play it is rated 4.4 from 1,199 ratings, and on the App Store 4.72 from 3,377 ratings (September 2026).
What QuoteIQ really costs in 2026
Prices as published on QuoteIQ's pricing page in September 2026, converted to what actually leaves your bank account in a year:
- Essentials: $29.99 a month, which is $359.88 a year on monthly billing or $299.99 paid up front — for 1 user, with 500 IQ credits a month.
- Beginner: $74.99 a month, $899.88 a year monthly or $749.99 up front — for 2 users. Adds MapMeasure Pro, QuoteIQ Cam, Review Multiplier, e-signatures and analytics.
- Pro: $149.99 a month, $1,799.88 a year monthly or $1,499.99 up front — for 4 users. This is the first tier with email and text automation, in-app calling and QuickBooks.
- Elite: $299 a month, $3,588 a year monthly or $2,990 up front — for 10 users. InstaQuote, InstaSchedule and route optimisation start here.
- Max: $699 a month, $8,388 a year monthly or $6,990 up front — unlimited users.
It does not add a per-seat fee on top of a plan, but each plan caps the number of users, so every time your team outgrows a tier you pay for the next one. Usage is also metered through monthly IQ credits.
Worked example: an owner with four field staff. That is five people, one more than Pro's four users. To give everyone a login the business must move to Elite: $3,588 a year on monthly billing, or $2,990 paid up front. If it squeezes onto Pro by sharing a login, it still pays $1,799.88 a year and loses track of who did what. Automated customer texts are not available on the two cheaper tiers at all.
On ProTakip, the same five-person team pays one flat fee of $20 a month ($240 a year) with unlimited users and every feature included — automatic SMS and WhatsApp, route optimisation, labels and Caller ID. There is no annual contract, you can cancel any month, and the first three months cost nothing. Adding a seasonal driver in spring never changes the bill. What QuoteIQ users complain about: speed, photos and billing
QuoteIQ's complaints cluster around a few issues. The most concrete is photo handling in the field:
"Tried to upload to the app from the field, app crashed and 50+ photos were completely vanished." — App Store review
Others report slowness and friction. One user said the app "will load with my logo constantly and for long periods of time". A two-star reviewer wrote:
"Various features don't work as advertised and there's a lot of added friction in the UI making some of the features/processes unintuitive and slow." — App Store review
A few reviewers raise commercial issues. One says a lot of functionality is locked behind larger packages, and reports being charged for several months after deleting their account. If you are evaluating QuoteIQ, test photo uploads on your own phone and signal, and confirm how cancellation works before committing to annual billing.
Why carpet cleaners choose ProTakip
22 years of carpet cleaning, nothing else. ProTakip is not a general contractor tool with a carpet-cleaning page added for marketing. For 22 years we have built software only for businesses that collect carpets, rugs and upholstery, clean them and bring them back — first on bank POS terminals at the customer's door, now on phones. Every order moves through the stages you actually work in: received, in wash, ready, out for delivery, delivered. Our carpet cleaning software page walks through the full flow.
The same full app on Android, iPhone and the web. There is no "lite" mobile version. The owner on an iPhone, the driver on an Android phone and the office on a browser see the same screens, and every platform gets the same version on the same day.
QR labels and a receipt at the door. You price by the square metre or per item from your own price list, print a QR label for every rug showing its place in the order ("3 / 7"), and hand the customer a receipt from a Bluetooth thermal printer before you leave. When 40 rugs sit in the wash hall, the label is what stops one going to the wrong house.
Photos at pickup end damage disputes. Attach photos of each item's condition to the order when you collect it. If a customer later says a stain or a frayed edge is new, the photo settles it in seconds.
Know who is calling on Android before you answer. On Android, a card appears before the phone rings with the caller's name, address, balance and open orders by stage — and it works with the app closed and no signal. The office PC gets the same card through a switchboard integration or a USB caller-ID device. Read more in our guide to Caller ID for carpet cleaning businesses.
Customers informed automatically. An SMS or WhatsApp message goes out at every stage, for international customers too, with a tracking link so they check status instead of phoning you. A WhatsApp Business inbox sits inside the app. See our guide to customer notifications and WhatsApp. Delivery routes are optimised automatically and vehicle GPS shows where your vans are.
- Unlimited users on one flat fee, no annual contract, and your data is yours.
- Free migration of your customers and orders, done by our team.
- Live human support inside the app, plus remote screen sharing.
- Rated 5.0 on Google Play (37 reviews) and 4.98 on the App Store (46 ratings), September 2026.

Head-to-head: the five differences that decide QuoteIQ vs ProTakip
ProTakip comes out ahead on each of the five points below for a small carpet-cleaning business; each one ends with what it means for your crew.
Pricing grows with your crew on QuoteIQ, not on ProTakip
QuoteIQ's $29.99 entry price covers one user only. But users are tied to tiers: two people means $74.99 a month, four means $149.99, ten means $299. ProTakip charges one flat subscription whatever the headcount, so adding a second washer or a seasonal driver costs nothing extra — and nobody shares a login to save money.
How you win work: online self-quoting versus phone and repeat customers
QuoteIQ lets customers quote themselves and book online; ProTakip has no customer self-booking website. But most rug cleaners win work by phone, from repeat customers and referrals. There, ProTakip's Caller ID on Android, full customer history and a quotes module your team fills in turn every call into an order faster.
Workflow fit: on-site jobs versus items in your plant
QuoteIQ's satellite measuring and on-site photo tools assume you clean at the property. ProTakip assumes items travel: pickup lists, wash status, ready shelf, delivery routes. If you take dozens of rugs a day into a wash plant, labels plus stage tracking are what keep every rug matched to its owner. Our guide to delivery scheduling and route planning shows how that looks day to day.
Customer notifications: SMS and WhatsApp at each stage
QuoteIQ lists text and email automation from its Pro plan; WhatsApp support is not verified. ProTakip sends automatic SMS and WhatsApp at every order stage on every subscription, with a tracking link. For customers who wait several days for a rug, an automatic "your order is ready" message saves your team a steady stream of calls.
Payments and accounting: card fees and sync versus a built-in cash register
QuoteIQ accepts online payments, offers consumer financing and integrates with QuickBooks and Google Calendar. ProTakip skips the processor and the sync: you collect at the door in cash or by transfer, record it in the built-in cash register, and the money you took today is in tonight's report with no percentage taken from any job. Customer balances and daily-to-monthly income and expense reports live inside the app, so your accountant gets a printout, not a login. Our payment collection guide covers practical options.
Why ProTakip is the best QuoteIQ alternative for a small carpet-cleaning business
ProTakip is carpet cleaning software and cleaning business software, and this is why it is the best QuoteIQ alternative for a small cleaning business. If you pick up rugs, carpets or upholstery, clean them in your plant and deliver them back, we built ProTakip for exactly your day. You get pickup and delivery lists, square-metre pricing, QR labels and a printed receipt at the door, photos that settle damage questions, and automatic SMS and WhatsApp that keep customers from calling to ask "is it ready?".
We also fit the way small teams actually work: the owner on an iPhone, drivers on Android, the office on a browser, all on the same full app. Your crew can grow from three to twelve without the bill moving, you are never locked into an annual contract, and our own team moves your data across for free. The same app serves dry cleaners and home cleaning businesses.
If you are still shortlisting, our guide on how to choose carpet cleaning software helps, and so do our comparisons of ServiceMonster vs ProTakip, Jobber vs ProTakip, Housecall Pro vs ProTakip and GorillaDesk vs ProTakip.
A note from the founder. We built ProTakip for carpet-cleaning owners tired of paying for every new hire and fighting menus made for other trades. No sales pitch: use it free for three months with your whole team, no card needed. If it works for you, it is $20 a month. If it doesn't, you leave, and your data is yours.
Start free for three months, no card required: download ProTakip and run your next week of orders on it — the same full app on Android, iPhone and web, unlimited users, no contract.
Switching from QuoteIQ to ProTakip without losing data
Switching is simpler than most owners expect. Export your customer list from QuoteIQ and send it to us; our team imports your customers and job history for you at no charge. Because ProTakip's first three months are free and QuoteIQ says it has no contracts or cancellation fees, you can run both apps side by side for two weeks, check that every customer and balance arrived, and then cancel the old subscription. If you pay QuoteIQ annually, time the switch around your renewal date. Our switching and data migration guide lists every step.
Frequently asked questions
How much does QuoteIQ cost compared with ProTakip?
As published in September 2026, QuoteIQ starts at $29.99 a month for Essentials with one user, then Beginner $74.99 (2 users), Pro $149.99 (4 users), Elite $299 (10 users) and Max $699 (unlimited users); annual billing saves two months. An owner with four staff needs Elite, $3,588 a year on monthly billing. ProTakip is one flat subscription of $20 a month ($240 a year) with unlimited users and all features included, no contract, and the first three months free.
Is QuoteIQ or ProTakip better for carpet and rug cleaning?
For a small carpet or rug cleaning team, ProTakip. First, it was built only for carpet cleaners over 22 years, with received, in wash, ready and delivery stages, square-metre pricing, QR labels and a Bluetooth receipt at the door. Second, one flat fee covers unlimited users, so your bill does not climb a tier every time the crew grows.
Can I move my data from QuoteIQ to ProTakip?
Yes. Our team migrates your customer list and orders for you at no charge. QuoteIQ says it has no contracts or cancellation fees, and ProTakip's first three months are free, so you can run both apps side by side for two weeks, check that everything arrived, and cancel QuoteIQ only when you are confident.
Does ProTakip let customers book or get a quote online like QuoteIQ?
As of September 2026 ProTakip has no customer self-booking website and no self-quoting page. Your team creates quotes and appointments in the app, often straight from a call where Caller ID on Android has already shown the customer's history, and customers then follow their order through a tracking link and automatic SMS or WhatsApp updates.
Does ProTakip integrate with QuickBooks or take card payments?
ProTakip keeps the money side inside the app instead: the cash register, income and expense tracking, receivables and reports are included in the same flat fee, so there is nothing to sync and no processor taking a cut of each job. It has no accounting integration and does not process card payments from end customers. According to QuoteIQ's website in September 2026, QuoteIQ accepts online payments on every plan and adds QuickBooks from its Pro plan. If you need a QuickBooks, Xero, Square, Stripe or other sync, tell us in the in-app chat: we build the connection for your account, and the first three months are free while we do.
